AVERNUS STAFF

The staff of Avernus is composed of the following qualified volunteers. Experts in the genre, they have been playing it for over 7 years and have served as staff in other WW games across Southern California.   • Storyteller/Director: Killienne Gibson-Thomas
    Responsible for management of the game both in and out of character.
    After a very successful storytelling venture at ComiCon in San Diego, Killienne began Storytelling for a LARP organization founded by herself and John Peterson in 1995 called Viaticum Live Action Role-Playing Environment in Pasadena/ San Diego. In mid-1997, she merged her multi-genre White Wolf LARP into the Sabbat Live Action Phan Klub as the Quidam Pack (chapter) which had blossomed to such large proportions that it quickly spawned 3 additional packs, having trained the staff for them.

    In late 1997 she married the founder of the reorgnized SLAPK and they together continued to build the new, renamed, Sabbat Live Action Fan Club until November 2002 when the organization disbanded. What remains of this 7 year legacy is SabbatHQ.com, a resource for LARP information. In her time, Killienne has done LARP organization administration and storytelling for nearly every genre in the White Wolf World of Darkness stable, including writing the first club MET system for genres which had not yet been made for Live Action. She held all of the highest honors of the organization including member of the Tal'Mahe'Ra, Seraph for Mage (translation designer and genre coordinator) and winner of the 1995 Black Hand award.

  • Information Coordinator: Char Bernardin
    Manages all paperwork and data tracking.
    Char was the first data manager for Viaticum and later for SLAPK/SLAFC, handling tracking of all member and character registrations, experience issuances and expenditures as well as managed all club finances. Char was a member of the Tal'Mahe'Ra and Seraph for Bete (translation designer and genre coordinator) for both Viaticum, SLAPK and SLAFC.

  • Narrators: There are several who will be introduced at each game.

  • Web Administrator: Killienne Gibson-Thomas
    The Director is responsible for the web site as a principal means of communication for players and staff between games. Downtime actions should be transmitted by email or our forums to assure nothing falls through the cracks of online chat or phone conversations.
